About Us




A Handy Helper Ltd is a small family run business, set up in 2010. The aim to provide the old fashioned high level of customer service, which seemed lacking in the building industry, thus resulting in repeat business and trust in our work standards. Having started off in property development  our experience is varied, and was gained from total project management of a build through to hands on maintenance and building work. This unique experience and insight makes it easy to spot bad workmanship and over priced quotes. Thus enabling good advice being imparted to clients. We pride ourselves on getting most of our business from repeat clients and people who trust our work (see testimonials).


Environment and Carbon emissions

We are passionate about recycling and our impact on the environment and therefore where possible we recycle and use available resources. If we can we fix things, rather than just scrap old for new. Bicycles are used for doing local quotes and small jobs, where equipment/tools required are minimal. Where suitable and appropriate, quotes and advice are available via skype rather than travelling by car. Equipment  and materials are fully used, cleaned and re-used wherever possible. This also means lower costs for our clients!


How we work

Small or large jobs are catered for. Charged per hour, or per project,depending on client preference. Fully insured. Project management of building work is undertaken and can be discussed. Quotes can be done on Skype. This has two benefits, one being accurate quotes and the other reduced travelling resulting in lower carbon emissions.

We have many clients who are landlords, estate agents  and businesses. We provide an outstanding service, likened to an in house maintenance team, without the employment cost. This has resulted in client retention and peace of mind.
